Born in Ibagué, Colombia, on 27 September, 1953

1975-1980	studies at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá, specialisation in Painting and Printmaking. Master of Fine Arts.
1981	moves to New York, where he works in Robert Blackburn’s “Printmaking Workshop” . Private Studies in colour lithography
1985	moves to Vienna; emphasis on oil painting, lino and woodcuts, and handmade books.

1982/83	Scholarship of the Printmaking Workshop, New York City
1983	Honorary Mention at the Sixth Biennial of San Juan, Puerto Rico
1984/85	Scholarship of the Jerome Foundation, New York
